What can I say about Calyn and Katie… I adore them! You meet them and they’re like instant friends. They ooooze love. Toward each other. And to everyone around them. Always giggling. Always smiling. Always encouraging. They are pure joy.

Taylor + Jessica

Taylor and Jessica’s wedding at Hidden Meadows in Snohomish was utterly perfect. It was early September. A gorgeous summer day. From the sun shining to being surrounded by all their closest friends and family. It was the best kind of celebration.

They have the cutest story…

“Taylor and I are high school sweethearts. We met our sophomore year of high school through a mutual friend. In fact, I mostly chased him down for the better part of a year before I got his attention. Of course, from there, we were smitten. The way that only teenagers can be. In the beginning I told myself and my father it was only a high school fling but by the time college came around, I was either coming back to Snohomish or he was coming up to Bellingham each weekend. His love and support through my changes in majors and colleges helped me continue growing and is one of the reasons I am the nurse I am today. One of the craziest things to me about marrying your high school sweetheart is that you have seen each other grow from kids into adults. From that growth forms a bond, one where you know so many sides of one another. This month, we will have been together for 8 years, and I still can’t wait to keep growing with him and getting closer every day through all the things we will experience in the future together.”

Taylor + Baylie

I loved this engagement session so much. One morning back in October I drove 6 hours from Bellingham to Spokane. Pulled into Riverside State Park, found a bathroom to go pee (after that drive I was desperate) and found these 2 in the parking lot. It was perfectly overcast. The river was rushing, all the fall colors were poppin and these guys were a dream to photograph. I’m so excited to be back in Spokane shooting their wedding in June!
